SHANI ALSTON Shani Alston is a native of Newark, New Jersey and resides in Philadelphia as a student at the University of the Arts (UArts). She is a Jazz Dance major that has been dancing for nearly 15 years. Shani started out learning Tap and Ballet; at the age of six, she discovered her passion for Hip-Hip dance, as well as other forms. From there, she collaborated with many mentors and choreographers which led her to making appearances on shows like The Queen Latifah Show, CBS Early Morning Show, and most recently BET’s The Center. Before moving to college, Shani left behind a dance company, Pulse, of ten dancers who have performed at local events in New Jersey, as well as Apollo’s Amateur Night. She aspires to form her own Hip-Hop dance company once again and become a choreographer for various music artists. During her years at UArts, Shani has performed at many dance venues at the college, performed with Hip-Hop company Cultural Soul. Shani also appeared in the 2006 March issue of popular dance magazine “Dance Spirit” regarding her audition of the Star-Ledger Scholarship. Currently, Shani is completing her final year of college, teaching at dance studios, and preparing herself for her post-graduate life in hopes of becoming the next hit star to appear on your televisions and theaters in the near future. WE ARE EXCITED TO HAVE SHANI ON OUR FACULTY!

LISA EVANICH Lisa grew up dancing and performing around her hometown of Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania. Lisa moved to Philadelphia a few years ago to attend Temple University’s Department of Dance in which August 2002 she received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance. We look forward to having Lisa on our staff AGAIN THIS YEAR. While keeping it fun, she plans to keep her students educated in the art of dance.

DEVON FICARRA DEVON HAS BEEN WITH MULFORD DANCE STUDIO FOR FOUR YEARS. SHE GRADUATED AS A DANCE MAJOR FROM UNIVERSITY OF THE ARTS IN MAY 2004. SHE STUDIED DANCE IN HER HOME STATE OF MASSACHUSETTS. DEVON COMPETED WITH HER DANCE COMPANY IN GROUPS AS WELL AS SOLOS. SHE TOURED WITH STARPOWERS NATIONAL TALENT COMPETITIONS POWER PAK WHERE SHE STUDIED WITH MANY TOP-NOTCH CHOREOGRAPHERS. DEVON'S CHOREOGRAPHY FOR OUR JUNIOR AND SENIOR DANCERS HAS BEEN AMAZING!

SARA RAINER SARA WILL BE TEACHING TAP AND JAZZ FOR US. SARA TAUGHT AT Carousel Performing Arts Center IN KENNET SQAURE, PA AND One Step Ahead Dance Studio IN RIVERTON, NJ. SHE MINORED IN DANCE AT DREXEL UNIVERSITY WHERE SHE RECEIVED AWARDS FOR HER CHOREOGRAPHY. SARA ALSO TEACHES MODERN. WE ARE VERY HAPPY TO HAVE HER ON OUR STAFF!

DANA RASMUSSEN Dana has had a passion for dance since she was a young girl. She has trained at Nancy Mulford Studio her whole life. She trained in ballet, tap, jazz and gymnastics. HER PERFORMING EXPERIENCES INCLUDE PHILADELPHIA THANKSGIVING DAY AND LOCAL PARADES, THE ROCKETTE EXPERIENCE IN NY, CRUISE TO BAHAMAS, WALT DISNEY WORLD AND MANY COMPETITIONS. WE ARE PROUD TO HAVE HER TEACHING YOUNG CHILDREN'S CLASSES and TAP AND HIP-HOP CLASSES. DANA HAS CHOREOGRAPHED FOR OUR JUNIOR/SENIOR DANCE COMPANY. She went through our teacher training program. SHE WAS ON THE WIDENER UNIVERSITY DANCE TEAM. DANA GRADUATED FROM WIDENER UNIVERSITY .

MIKE SCHULSTER
MIKE IS CURRENTLY TEACHING AT BROADWAY DANCE CENTER IN NEW YORK CITY! HE IS PRODUCER OF HIS OWN SHOW- CHECK OUT HIS WEBSITE- REVOLUTIONTHESHOW.COM MIKE WILL BE TEACHING CLASSES ON MONDAYS.

HEATHER TROUT Heather trained at Nancy Mulford Studio of Dance since age seven studying ballet, pointe, tap, and jazz. She became a member of our dance company performing in shows and competitions all over the tri-state area. When Heather graduated high school, she went on to nursing school where she received her degree as an RN. Heather is a full-time nurse with a passion for dance. Lucky for us! Heather's focus became hip-hop AND TAP. She studied in Philadelphia and New York to gain a strong dance vocabulary in theSE popular formS of dance.

MEGAN SCHMIDT- GUEST CHOREOGRAPHER MEGAN DANCED ON THE PHILADELPHIA 76ERS DANCE TEAM FOR 4 YEARS. HER PERFORMANCE RESUME IS INTENSE BECAUSE OF THIS EXPERIENCE. MEGAN STARTED HER CAREER AT NANCY MULFORD'S. AS A MEMBER OF OUR DANCE COMPANY SHE PERFORMED REGULARLY ON THE AL ALBERTS' TV SHOW. SHE DANCED AT THE GOVERNORS' MANSION IN TRENTON, NJ. OTHER PERFORMANCES INCLUDE THE CITRUS BOWL IN ORLANDO, THE CHERRY BLOSSOM PARADE IN WASHINGTON, DC., THE MRS. N.J. AND MRS. PA. PAGEANTS, THE PHILADELPHIA THANKSGIVING DAY AND 4TH OF JULY PARADES, GREAT ADVENTURE, MARCH OF DIMES TELETHON, THE MILLENNIUM CELEBRATION AT THE PA. CONVENTION CENTER, AND NUMEROUS LOCAL AND NATIONAL COMPETITIONS. MEGAN'S PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES ARE NUMEROUS WITH MOST RECENTLY ATLANTIC CITY CASINO SHOWS AND 42ND STREET AT THE WALNUT STREET THEATER.
