The jazz dance medium has vast and unlimited possibilities. Jazz dance is not a basic technique. It needs the fundamentals of ballet and modern to build upon and from there develops stylistically. It thrives, passing through fad after fad and adopts itself to an amazing variety of music.

Jazz is a form of dance which changes and evolves with each decade. A conglomerate... Afro-Cuban...the Charleston... swing dance..hip-hop...ballet...modern and so on, jazz is a feeling deep down inside.

Jerome Robbins, Luigi, Matt Mattox, Gus Giordano, and Fosse are just some of the great leaders of the jazz medium.

Each of our teachers has their own style while emphasizing the true traditions of techniques. Classes will include warn-up, either at the barre or in the center, stretching, isolations, and then across the floor jumps, turns and combinations. A new center combination will be taught every two to three weeks depending on the level of the class.
