Pointe is a natural progression in  ballet. Students must have 3 years of ballet training, and permission from their teacher. Students are required to take 2 ballet classes in addition to the Pointe class (one lyrical class will be accepted as a ballet). First year pointe is one half an hour long and they do not perform in the recital. After that, the class is one hour long, and depending on the individuals readiness, the student may perform in the recital.
