Ariana is the new owner and director of the Mulford Dance Studio, as of July 2023! Ariana has trained at Mulford Dance Studio since age 2. She eventually became a member of the Mulford Dance Company. She has trained at many well known dance conventions such as The Pulse, Tremaine, Monsters of Hiphop, NYCDA and Jump. She has danced in the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade, Cherry blossom parade, Disney World, and Carnival cruise lines. She most recently performed in Brickhouse NYC in the middle of TimeSquare and competed at World Of Dance. Ariana also choreographed and performed a piece for Club NYC. She has been teaching with us for 8 years, and took over as owner in July of 2023!

Ariana is very excited to be back teaching this year, as well as taking on the role of studio owner!

Kim just celebrated 55 recitals at Mulford Dance Studio in June 2023. Taught under the auspices of her mother, Nancy Mulford, Kim went on to study at University of the Arts in Philadelphia as a ballet major and eventually followed in her mother’s footsteps becoming owner of the studio in 1999. In June 2023, she semi-retired, selling the studio to long-time Mulford student and teacher, Ariana Ferrari. 
Kim’s career as studio owner was very rewarding as she watched many students go on to dance professionally. Her Dance Company performed in many amazing places such as Walt Disney World, the Miss America Parade, The NJ Governor’s Mansion, Madison Square Garden, Cruise ships, Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington DC, Al Alberts TV Showcase, Citrus Bowl in Florida, Six Flags Great Adventure, March of Dimes Telethon, the televised Millennium Celebration at Philadelphia Convention Center, Mrs Nj and Mrs Pa Pageants, the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade, and much more!
Kim will now be a consultant for the studio being able to keep her [pointed] toes in the water! Kim is so proud and excited for Ariana to begin her career as studio owner. And, looks forward to her next chapter as studio consultant!

Dana started dancing at Mulford Dance Studio at age 2. She was a member of the Mulford Dance Company at a very young age, participating in several Thanksgiving Day Parades, Cruise Line, Nursing Home shows & Walt Disney World performances, just to name a few! In college, she was a member of the Rider University dance team and previously was the director of our Kid Crew and Junior HipHop Crew.

     
Dana continues her dance education by attending workshops and national conventions every year such as NYCDA, The Pulse, as well as taking several online classes for continued education via CLI Studios.  She is always eager and ready to learn more, which shows in her students. She is the fantastic teacher of our Boy’s hiphop class that is always the hit of our June recitals. We thank Dana for being a dedicated teacher and look forward to another great year with her on staff!

Devon has been on Mulford Dance Studio staff since 2004. She graduated as a dance major from the University of the Arts with a BFA in Jazz Dance. She studied at the Hartford Ballet and in her home state of Massachusetts. Devon competed with her dance company in groups as well as solos. She won many high score overalls regionally and on the National level while competing as a soloist growing up. She toured with the Power Pack kids as part of Starpower’s National Dance Competition where she studied with many top-notch choreographers. 

Devon is the director of our Jr and Sr Dance Companies. We are proud to have her on our faculty and celebrate her 20th year on staff!

Heather trained at Nancy Mulford Studio of Dance since age seven studying ballet, pointe, tap, jazz and gymnastics. She became a member of our dance company performing in shows and competitions all over the tri-state area
Heather studied in Philadelphia and New York to gain a strong dance vocabulary in these popular forms of dance.  Heather seeks out many different learning opportunities including Tremaine Dance Conventions, NYCDA Dance Conventions,  The Pulse Teachers Workshops and the Dance Teacher Summit.  Currently, Heather has been studying monthly with the CLI Studios online.
Heather and her students have achieved much success.  Heather and her students have achieved multiple Entertainment and Choreography Awards at regional and national competitions.  Notably, in 2018, Heather’s routine “Puttin’ on the Ritz” was awarded National Overall Champions at the On Stage America Competition and the Overall Tap Excellence Awards. More recently, Heather received the top choreography award for duos/trios (“Word Up”) and line/productions (“Get On Your Feet”) at the Sophisticated Dance Productions National Dance Competition in July 2022. In 2023, Heather was nominated for an Industry Dance Award for our company’s ‘Get On Your Feet’ production.
We are excited to have Heather on staff and start another fun-filled year!

Katie began dancing at the age of three at Mulford Dance Studio and still continues to dance with us.  She was a member of our dance company for nine years. During this time she competed and performed. She performed in local parades and shows, Walt Disney World, the Philadelphia Channel 6 Thanksgiving Day Parade including the opening and closing numbers in addition to Disney productions, Philadelphia Fourth of July Parade, the Washington D.C. Cherry Blossom Parade and the Miss America Parade in Atlantic City.  

Katie has attended dance conventions including NYCDA and Tremaine where she has taken classes with choreographers including Travis Wall, Joey Dowling, Suzi Taylor and Joe Lanteri.  She attended the Twinkle Star Dance Convention in Philadelphia August 2014.
Katie graduated from Rowan University and teaches high school at Haddon Township High School. She choreographs the Haddon Township High School musical and the William G Rohrer Middle School musical. We are so glad Katie will be on staff for our Saturday classes again this year!

Lisa grew up dancing and performing around her hometown of Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania. Lisa moved to Philadelphia to attend Temple University’s Department of Dance. In August 2002, she received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance.

Lisa is a certified ACE Fitness Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, certified Barre Above instructor, Red Hot Dance Fitness, Balanced Body Pilates Mat & Pilates Reformer instructor. Lisa is also a certified 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance and a certified Kids Yoga Instructor. Recently, Lisa became certified in Progressing Ballet Technique [PBT], and is a NASM Certified Nutrition Coach [CNC].

Continuing her dance training is very important to Lisa. She has attended many conventions and classes in New York and Philadelphia along with training with CLI Studios online.

Lisa has been teaching with us since 2002. We look forward to having Lisa on our staff again this year. While keeping it fun, she plans to keep her students educated in the art of dance.

Mandi came to us as an excellently trained instructor in all genres of dance and theater. She graduated from Montclair State University, majoring in Theater Studies where she directed and choreographed numerous productions. She directed and choreographed with Hopewell Valley Children’s Theatre for six years and alongside her talented family, ran the Standing Ovation Theater Company of South Jersey.  Now, Mandi runs the theater school on her own and lucky for us, she runs her school out of Mulford Dance Studio. She is very excited and happy to share her knowledge of the arts. In 2018, Standing Ovations Theater Company was featured in the Burlington County Times as well as winning a Broadway Award.

We are thrilled to have Mandi teaching dance classes and musical theater classes this year as well as her Theater Company Programs!

Megan trained at Mulford Dance Studio under Kim Mulford-Farmer from the age of three. She went on to dance professionally after graduating high school . Megan danced on the Philadelphia 76ers Dance Team for 4 years and was captain for two! She appeared in commercials/industrials for Inspira , QVC, Toyota, Kellogg’s, Coors Light, and Parx Casino to name a few. Megan has also performed in Times Square and worked with Walt Disney Productions.
She toured with Legends in Concert as a backup singer/dancer to many cities throughout the US. 
Megan performed at the Walnut Street Theater in Philadelphia  in many musical productions including Mary Poppins, White Christmas, Elf the Musical, The Producers and 42nd Street. She also performed in many shows in Atlantic city casinos  as well as Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut as a dancer and magic assistant and in shows at Act II Playhouse in PA. Megan danced with Mark Ballas from ‘Dancing with the Stars’ at a private event in Atlantic City! Megan also danced with Destiny's Child! Music Videos she danced in include Will Smith’s “So Fresh” and “Freakin It” with Atlantic Records.
Megan has also judged for Nexstar Dance Competition and Starpower National Talent Competitions. Megan will be doing choreography for some of our competition pieces. She was also certified recently in Barre Above and teaches this throughout the year at the studio.

Sue trained at Will-Mor Gymnastics and Miss Porter’s School of Dance for ballet and tap. She has been on Mulford staff for over 40 years. Her students have received many awards and titles for their acrobatic abilities. Several of her students went on to dance with Philadelphia pro-dance teams.

Sue’s approach to teaching acrobatics is using skill charts in a progressive format so children may improve and learn at their own pace. Sue also tap dances with our famous HiSteppers tap group! Sue is a school teacher at Cold Springs in Gloucester, NJ. We want to thank Sue for all her years of service and are so excited to have Sue on staff again this year!
 

Kristen is our main person on the desk and the first face of the business for everyone to see.

Her hard work and dedication is what keeps the studio running efficiently, and her enthusiasm is well known by all who come in contact with her.   

Ms. Joann works at our desk and is amazing with all of our dance families. She  has been a part of the Mulford Dance Studio for many years, with two more generations of dancers from her family dancing there.  

​

While all of that is important, more importantly, Ms. Joann is our biggest supporter and cheerleader.  She is at every event, always bringing a lot of energy to the dancers, support to the parents, and when you hear a cowbell at a competition know it is most likely coming from Ms. Joann.
